Harold Glenn Butt, age 73, of Pound Road in Farmington, died unexpectedly at home on November 13, 2019, of natural cause.

Born in Winchester, Massachusetts on March 21, 1946, the son of John Morgan Butt and Elinor (Blaisdell) Butt, he was raised in Reading, MA, resided in Billerica, MA for years and lived in Farmington, NH since 1976.

Harold worked for many years in Construction and Carpentry.

His hobbies included: hunting, fishing, listening to his music (Roy Orbison, Beach Boys & Neil Diamond were his favorites and he loved to shuffle around on the dance floor). He enjoyed going for car rides, old car shows, motorcycle rides, snowmobiling, and boating on Lake Winnipesaukee. He was proud to have owned some muscle cars too.

He played hockey as a kid and was in a Men's softball league. You could always count on him to be watching a game - especially when any of his beloved Boston teams were playing. He was the ultimate sports fan that knew a lot of the history/players/etc. Also he enjoyed attending his grandchildren's games and gave great advice to them on how to play.

He was proud to have operated his own business, HB Auto and junkyard. Also he was involved with the Jaycees in town. He had a great sense of humor and loved to chat.

He made a number of friendships at local restaurants and where he liked to eat a home cooked meal, and sharing stories with restaurant employees and patrons.

Survived by his 2 daughters: Jaqueline "Jackie" and husband Matthew Monahan, Tammy and husband Joe McKenna, 3 grandsons: Justin and wife Tiffany Monahan, Logan Monahan and Ricky Heath, a great grandbaby Monahan to come soon, his ex-wife/friend Janice Connell, his longtime friend Bruce Kelleher and 3 sisters: Donna Burley, Beverly Butt, and Lorraine Butt, including nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dover Rehab, Frisbie Memorial Hospital, Cornerstone VNA and his Doctors.
Calling hours are Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 2-4pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH with a service at 3:30pm. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Dover Rehabilitation and Living Center or to Cornerstone VNA.
