Gwendolyn J. Brooks, age 67, of Brooks Drive in Farmington, died unexpectedly, at home, on September 24, 2016.
Born December 24, 1948 in Rochester, the daughter of Bernard and Marilyn (Noyes) Allen, she resided in Farmington most all of her life.
A graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1966, she was a Cheerleader from grade school through high school. Also a graduate of the former McIntosh College in Dover.
She had worked at local shoe factories, the former General Electric in Somersworth and as a paraprofessional at Henry Wilson Memorial School in Farmington.
Gwen loved drag racing and car shows with her husband Brooksie.
Survived by her husband of 47 years: Richard H. Brooks, their daughter Marie and husband John Frost and her 2 grandsons: Nicholas Frost and Ryan Frost, also many cousins, nieces, nephews and in law's. Predeceased by her sister Vickie Morton.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 2-4 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street in Farmington, NH with a service at 4pm.
