Obituary

Gregory R. (Greg) Hatch,64 of Wakefield Road in Sanbornville, died May 13, 2011 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born October 9, 1946 in Dover, son of Leon and Winifred (Carpenter) Hatch. He attended Somersworth schools and served in the United States Army as a door gunner with the 116th Assault Helicopter Co and was awarded the Silver Star during his two tours in Vietnam.

He had recently been employed as a heavy equipment operator with Torromeo Industries, Inc. in Kingston, NH.

A past member of the American Legion in Rochester, Greg loved to ride his Harley- Davidson. He loved hunting, fishing and playing cribbage. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and loved to attend their sporting events. He had a contagious smile that warmed the hearts of all who met him.

Survived by the love of his life, his wife of 19 years Sherry L.(Deschenes) Hatch and 2 sons Scott and Heidi of Rochester, Jacob of Sanbornville and 3 daughters, Jennifer and Rob of Benton, Jessica and Chad of Rochester, Kristina and Rob of Sanbornville.
He also leaves 7 grandchildren: Katrina, Devin,Logan,Macie, Alexis, Mackenzie and Dylan. He also leaves 3 brothers.

A very special thank you to the amazing staff in the Oncology Dept and ICU Dept.at Frisbie Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care given to Greg.


Calling hours are Tuesday evening from 5-8 pm at the Peaslee Funeral Home 24 Central St. Farmington, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 10:am at St.Anthony's Church, Meadow Street in Sanbornville, NH with the Rev. Robert G. Biron
as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
