Gloria M. Glidden, age 85, of Charles Street in Farmington, died February 10, 2011 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born May 16, 1925 in Farmington, the daughter of Howard and Ruth (Varney) Spear, she was a graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1943 and a lifelong resident there.
In earlier years, she had worked at the former H.O.Rondeau Shoe Co. in Farmington and also at the former Oak Birch Inn in Alton Bay. She was employed for many years as a Lunch Lady with the Farmington School District.
Gloria was a member of the First Congregational Church, a former Deaconess and member of the Woman's Fellowship at church. She was also a member of the former Extension Group in Farmington.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years: Lester Charles Glidden and their 4 children: Phyllis and husband Ray Laconis of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Diann and husband Joe Pitre of Farmington, June Glidden of Farmington, Chuck and wife Paula Glidden of Sanbornville, 7 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren, her sister Dot Lablond of Rochester, also several Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter: Susan Glidden.

Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the First Congregational Church on Main Street in Farmington, NH at 2:00 pm with Rev. Debra Pratt-Peckham, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery.
