Gerard "Gerry" John Whynott, JR., of Revere, MA passed away July 29th, 2023 at the age of 41 years old.

Gerry was born to Gerard and Joanie Whynott of Middleton, NH on March 21, 1982, at Malden Hospital. Gerry is survived by his father, Gerard John Whynott SR, his Wife, Ruby Elizabeth Higuita Whynott, sister, Erin Whynott and nephew Keegan Whynott. He is preceded in death by his mother, the late Joanie Whynott, in May of 2013.

Gerry spent his whole life in the kitchen. His career started early in life as a young man at La Contadina in Farmington, NH. He then went on to culinary school to master his skill as a chef, but soon realized that he belonged in the front of the house. Gerry used his charismatic personality to his advantage, strengthening the restaurant businesses he passionately invested his time and energy into. He was well known in his profession. Over the course of his career he managed numerous restaurants in the Boston area. Gerry was dedicated to his work and the people connected to it, often forming ever-lasting bonds and friendships with his co-workers.

Gerry was magnetic, often drawing others to his quick-witted sarcasm, leaving others speechless or in fits of laughter.  Some will remember him affectionately as &"Gerr- bear" because of his gentle and kind demeanor.

Gerry enjoyed spending Sundays with his father, whom he loved deeply. Gerry was the protector of his little sister, Erin, and the cool, funny uncle to his nephew, Keegan.

Gerry was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Ruby Elizabeth Higuita Whynott. The couple shared a deep and special love, and Gerry had often been quoted in saying that she was his
greatest happiness in life.

Gerry will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Family and friends will honor Gerry's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. East Boston, on Friday, August 4th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Calling hours will be held at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central St., Farmington, NH 03835 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a service at 11. Following the service, Gerry will be laid to rest at New Cold Springs Cemetery in East Rochester, New Hampshire.
