ALTON — Gerard A Gagne, age 72, of Alton Bay, passed away Oct. 27, 2010, at Wolfeboro Bay Care and Rehabilitation Center in Wolfeboro.
The son of Leo and Beatrice (Letendre) Gagne, he was born Feb. 11, 1938, and raised in Rochester, N.H. He resided in Bow, N.H. before moving to Alton Bay in 1995.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Lucille Pratte Gagne and their two children, Kenneth L. Gagne and wife Deborah (Adams) Gagne of Alton, N.H., Catherine M. Gagne of Alton Bay and five grandchildren.
He leaves three brothers, Marcel P. Gagne of Rochester N.H., Gilbert A. Gagne of Wellesley, Mass., Maurice L. Gagne of Rochester. N.H.; a sister in-law, Arline A. Wirbal of Epping N.H., also several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Gerard attended Spaulding High School and was a graduate, Class of 1956. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1962.
Gerard was the owner of Gagne's Legal Stationary and enjoyed working with people for 40 years until his retirement in 2005. He was an active volunteer with Boy Scout Troop 75 in Bow, N.H., and Troop 53 in Alton, N.H. Gerard was also a charter member of the Wolfeboro Corinthian Yacht Club.

Family and friends are welcome to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 11:00 am at St Katharine Drexel Church, Hidden Springs Road (Route 28N) in Alton, N.H., with the Rev. Robert Cole and the Rev. Richard Wegman, as celebrants.
