George H. "Sonny" Smart, Sr., age 72, of Middleton, died quietly at home, September 2, 2020.

Born in Exeter, NH on July 23, 1948, son of George S. Smart and Myrtle (Counter) McDougall, he lived in Dover, NH for most of his life and resided in Middleton for eleven years.

He had owned and operated Sonny's Used Cars.

Sonny loved to work on cars, play his guitar and he liked to sing for all his family and friends.

Survived by his wife Nancy (Sullivan) Smart, 4 children: George H. Smart, Jr., Rodney and wife Melissa Smart, Trisha and husband Shawn Jennison and Christopher Smart, 3 stepchildren: Jennifer and husband Sean Page, William Therrien and Cory Therrien, 5 grandchildren: Devyn, Kyle, Madisin, Adrianna and Kadyn, 3 siblings: Rosalie and husband Gary Bergeron, Ronald and wife Jen Smart and Grace Charland, also many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and a brother Thomas Smart.
