Geneva McPherson, age 99, of Adrien Circle in Rochester, died April 4, 2021 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

Born March 26, 1922, in Northfield, Massachusetts, a daughter of Leslie and Harriet (Whitman) Brewer, she resided in Rochester, NH for 30 years, having previously resided in Milton, NH for 12 years, Middleton, NH and Richmond, NH.

In earlier years, she was a shoeworker at local shoe factories and later was self-employed as Mac's Apples on Plummer's Ridge in Milton. At age 60 she became a CNA and worked at Riverside Rest Home, retiring at age 70.

A square dancer, she was a member of the Happy Time Squares, she loved to play cards, BINGO and do puzzles, she enjoyed crocheting, and knitting, providing hats and mittens to VICTIMS, Inc. and baby hats to Frisbie Memorial Hospital, she also enjoyed traveling, even to Alaska!

She was well known for giving the best hugs! Her nickname with friends where she lived was Dr. Hugger.

She cooked many big family meals. The most popular with her family was a chicken dish called "Polander" It was loved by all!

Widow of the late Norman E. McPherson, she is survived by their loving family of 6 children: Beverly and husband John Hastings, Kenneth and wife Carol McPherson, Norman "Cokie" McPherson, Russell McPherson, Roger and wife Elena McPherson, Howard and wife Kathy McPherson, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, also many Nieces and Nephews.  At age 99, she was the last of 13 Brewer siblings. She was predeceased by two daughter-in-laws: Susan McPherson and Mildred McPherson.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 11am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with Rev.
