Gene M. Mailhot, (G-Know), age 36, of Linden Street in Somersworth, died suddenly, November 11, 2013, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born March 28, 1977 in Cranston, Rhode Island. He resided for many years in Farmington, NH, a graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1996. He lived in Dover and Somersworth the past several years.
He was co-owner and self employed as a very talented Barber at "Main Street Barbers" in Durham, where he took pride in his career.
G-Know was a gifted song-writer, artist, freestyle lyricist, DJ and among other things, had the greatest sense of humor. He was a hero to children and a foundation to his family. He was a source of knowledge for many of us; always willing to listen and offer advice when we needed it. He was someone that you could always count on. He was friendly and outgoing; Charisma and charm came quite easily for him.
Survived by his mother Jean L. (Thibedau) Maskiell, step-father Donald "Dez" Desautels; his love Jaime Boivin and her children: Hannah, Cristian and Ryan, his sister: Michelle Mooney and brother in law and best friend: Russell Mawire, a nephew: Merrick, 3 nieces: Ivy-Dawn, Nyla and new baby Maya; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family. Predeceased by his father: James Locker.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday December 7th 2013 at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH from 1-4 pm with a service at 3:30 pm.
