Frieda (Molly) Lowell Rowe, age 93, died May 20, 2014 at The Golden Crest Assisted Living Facility in Franklin, where she most recently resided.
Beloved wife of the late Ernest Y. Rowe; mother of Dexter L. Rowe, Stephen L. Rowe, Alan C. Rowe, and Nancy R. Parker; and grandmother of Kristin Rowe, Daniel Rowe, Nathan Rowe, Joshua Rowe, Jonathan Rowe, Christopher Parker, and Katherine Parker.
Molly Rowe was born in Dexter, Maine and spent the majority of her life in Reading, Massachusetts where she will be remembered for her charitable work at Winchester Hospital and for many years of service in various capacities in the First Congregational Church of Reading. She worked for the Congregational Church on the church bulletin, in her women's circle, each year on the White Elephant tables at the church fair, the church coffees, pot luck dinners, and many other volunteer positions. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother and as a child was a member of Jobs Daughters.
Molly spent years as a devoted wife and mother, somehow squeezing in time for catering functions and entertaining, along with her charitable works. Molly was a wonderful cook, sharing this skill in her catering, church, entertaining, and family functions at home. She gave of herself freely and often, to both organized charities and to individuals. Molly's warm spirit and generosity will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
