Frederick B. Morris, age 78, of Patton Street, Rochester, died April 5, 2011 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
He was born June 14, 1932 in Quincy, Massachusetts. He was the son of Daniel and Marion (Brooks) Morris and was raised on a Crown Point Farm in Strafford, NH. He lived in Rochester for many years. He also resided in the Lakes Regions of Wolfeboro and Gilford, before returning to Rochester.
Fred was retired from Thompson Center Arms in Rochester where he was employed as a Purchasing/Materials Manager. More recently, he worked part time for Sanel Auto Parts.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, and enjoyed being outdoors. he had a love for nature and animals. Fred also had a heart for helping and caring for others.
He was a devoted husband and father. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Norma (Wood) Morris, 3 daughters; Marna Holmstrom of York, Maine, Marsha Newcombe, married to Ross Newcombe, of Fairbanks, Alaska, Marilyn Samuels, married to David Samuels, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, 6 grandchildren, his sister, Marcia Giargiari and husband, Ed, of Tilton, New Hampshire, as well as 8 nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to a Memorial Service that will be held at Peaslee Funeral Home on 24 Central Street, in Famington, NH, on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at 1:30pm.
