Frederick Peter "Butch" Collins, age 67, of Youngtown Road in Alton, NH, died suddenly, of natural cause, early Thursday morning, March 3, 2016, at home.
Born September 17, 1948 in Saugus, Massachusetts, son of Frederick B. and Jeannette M. (Genica) Collins, he was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1967, also a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Class of 1972. He resided in Lynn, MA for many years and lived in Alton, NH since 1986.
He was employed for many years with General Electric in Lynn, MA.
Butch loved baseball, he was a "pitcher", he loved all sports and outdoor activities, boating, camping, traveling, also dancing.
Survived by his wife of 43 years: Carol Anne (Pogson) Collins and their 2 children: Matthew F. and wife Jennifer Collins, Kimberly A. and husband Brian Poisson, 3 grandchildren: Kendra Olivia Poisson, Evan Matthew Collins and Hailey Anne Poisson , 2 brothers: Robert Collins and Michael Collins, also several, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. Predeceased by a brother Daniel Collins.
Family and friends are welcome to a Funeral Service on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Community Church of Alton on Church Street in Alton, NH at 11am, with Rev. Samuel Hollo, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Alton. Arrangements by Peaslee Alton Funeral Home.
