Franklin E. Woodman, age 78 ,of Farmington, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday July 13, 2017.
He was born January 27, 1939 and raised in Farmington, the son of Jesse & Evelyn Woodman and attended Farmington schools.
After serving with the US Army, he returned to his hometown to pursue his passion for small engines. He started as a detailer at Emerson Chevrolet in Somersworth NH. For the next 48 years, he owned & operated Rte 11 Sports out of his home. He was well known in the community as Woody. He was a self taught & old schooled mechanic. There was a saying with his customers "If woody doesn't have it, nobody does"
He enjoyed is favorite hobbies. Hunting,fishing & anything with a fast engines.
Later in his life, he starting enjoying a likeness to pulling on a handle or pushing a bottom of a slot machine at one of his favorite casinos.
He is survived by his daughter, Wendy St Lawrence and her husband James of Center Ossipee NH; his son, Jeffrey Woodman & Holly Moulton of Gilmanton NH.
Step-children, Glenn & Keith Daly
5 grandchildren; Felisha St Lawrence, Aarika Ciriello, Heather Woodman, Gunnar Woodman, Madison Daly. 7 great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews.
He his preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Norma Corson, Maryellen Brown. Also the love of his life, Susan Daly.
Family and friends are welcome to a Graveside Service on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11am at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.
