Frank J. Comeau, age 89, of Hamwoods Road in Alton, died June 28, 2017 at Courville of Manchester.
Born January 2, 1928 in Peabody, MA, son of Francis J. and Alice (Pothier) Comeau, he resided in Alton, NH since 2008, having previously resided at Wells Beach, Maine, Naples, Florida and Dalton, MA and most recently at Langdon Place in Dover, NH.
He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served during WWII.
Prior to retirement from General Electric, he was employed as Plant Manager with Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory.
Widower of the late Anne E. "Nancy" (Marrs) Comeau, he is survived by their children: Francis J. "Frank" and wife Karen Comeau, 3 daughters: Anne and husband Peter Dunigan, Mary and husband Timothy Dougherty, Elizabeth Comeau and husband Dr. James Belanger, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, a sister Alice Hayes, a brother: Charles Comeau, also many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 2 brothers: Theodore Comeau and Paul Comeau.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 11am at St. Mary's Church, 236 Eldridge Road, Wells, ME 04090, with a Celebration of Life to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Holy Spirit Parish, Wells, ME 04090.
