Florence L. Morrison, age 89, of Hilltop Drive in Wakefield, NH, died peacefully at home on March 7, 2014.
Born June 26, 1924 in Parkman, Maine, the daughter of Francis J. and Theresa (Knowles) Leighton, she resided for years in Manchester, NH and resided in Wakefield, NH since 1998.
Prior to retirement, she was employed as a Secretary, ten years with the University of New Hampshire and ten years at the Union Leader.
Florence was a member of the First Congregational Church of Wakefield, a Past President of the Parish Helpers at church and a Past President of the Senior Association at Elliot Hospital.
Survived by her husband: Edward H. Morrison, a son: Russell F. Palmer, 3 daughters: Sherry Ann Palmer, Brenda Wright and Holly Brown, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date and time to be announced at First Congregational Church of Wakefield, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to: Central NH VNA & Hospice, PO Box 1620, Wolfeboro, NH 03894.
