Evelyn C. Staples, age 71, of Main Street in Farmington, died May 29, 2013 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, after a period of failing health.
Born December 24, 1941 in Farmington, the daughter of Horace and Irene (Allen) Woods, she was a lifelong resident there.
Evelyn had worked in customer service at the former Curtis 1000. A seamstress, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and had owned and operated Fancy Creations in Farmington.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Charles F. Staples and their 3 children: Charlene York, Wanda York and Scott Staples, 4 grandchildren: Bridget, Heather, Scott and Frank, 7 great grandchildren: Amanda, Haley, Felicity, Anthony, Kalvin, Jayson and Kaleb, a sister Gloria Parker, also several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 6:00 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with a calling hour prior to the service from 5-6pm. To express condolences, please visit: www.peasleefuneralhome.com
