Evelyn A. Canney, age 87, of Hornetown Road in Farmington, passed away quietly, at her daughter's home in Strafford, NH , on April 7, 2016, after a long battle with cancer
Evelyn was born in Farmington on July 18, 1928, to Herbert and Elizabeth (Carpenter) Moulton. She became a lifelong resident in Farmington where she was admired and loved for her grace and courage.
A dedicated wife, homemaker and mother, she is survived by her 4 children: John Jenkins, Sheila Jenkins-Hamilton and husband Bryan Hamilton, Sandra and husband James Cray, Ronald Jenkins, 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, a brother: John and wife Cynthia Carpenter, also 1 niece and 1 nephew. Predeceased by her late husband Richard H. Canney and step-son Richard A. Canney.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday April 18, 2016 at 11am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with a calling hour prior to the service from 10-11am. Urn interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington. The family extends a special thanks to Cornerstone VNA/Hospice for their support and care during this difficult time.
