Evelyn B. Campbell, age 92, of Middleton, NH, passed away, peacefully, with her son Allen and his companion Delcina, by her side on July 1, 2026.

Evelyn was born in South Paris, Maine on January 5, 1934, the daughter of Eugene O. McKeen and Edna F. (Libby) McKeen.

She worked at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New Hampshire for many years, Orange Grove in Florida and as a dietitian assistant in the kitchen at Minot Consolidated School in Minot, Maine where we lived for many years.

One of several siblings, Evelyn stood out for her determination and forceful personality, throughout her years, she was a “force to be reckoned with”, by all who knew her. Evelyn’s determined nature was put to good use in her hometown community of Middleton, where she started a little library in the old town hall. She was an avid Conservationist.

She loved being outside gardening, so proud of her beautiful roses.

Evelyn was a parishioner of Middleton Gospel Chapel.

Survived by her children, daughter Madeline Cates of Portland, Maine, and son Allen Campbell of Middleton, NH, many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband David A. Campbell, parents, her siblings Philip, Catherine, Mary, Walter, Flora, and Eugene.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 10:00 am at Rochester, Cemetery on Franklin Street in Rochester, NH, family and friends are welcome to attend. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
