Esther Ione Parshley (Dutton) died peacefully on June 8th at St. Ann's Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Dover, NH. A longtime resident of Farmington, N.H., Esther worked for the Farmington schools for many years and enjoyed the friendship of many of the teachers and staff there. She lived independently in her home on Bunker Street from 1959 until the age of 86 thanks to the generous assistance of her many kind neighbors.
Esther was born in a farmhouse in Rochester, NH on February 3, 1935. She was the daughter of Mildred and George Dutton. She was pre-deceased by her parents and six siblings, including her beloved sister Ruth.
Esther was passionate about her golf game, a hobby that she took up after she retired. She also enjoyed bowling, putting together puzzles, working in her garden, and baking. She loved apple knickknacks and the color red. She regularly attended mass at Saint Peter's Church in Farmington.
Esther is survived by her identical twin daughters Sherry J. Parshley and her husband Tom Coakley of Dover, N.H. and Shirley M. (Parshley) Phillips of Nashua, N.H., two granddaughters, Christina Phillips of Concord, N.H. and Ashley Phillips of Nashua, N.H., her nephew and his wife, Bill and Pam Stone of Barrington, N.H. and her niece and husband Pamela and Randy Winstead of Brooksville, Florida.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Peter's Church in Farmington at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 13th. There are no calling hours.
