Erica L Lilly, age 49, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at home in Farmington, NH in the comforting presence of her loving husband Henry Ferland and her brother John D Lilly. She was fortunate to have her family and closest friends come to her home to give her comfort also.
Erica was born in Bakersfield, CA on August 21, 1974 to her parents Michael and Nichola Lilly. She grew up in South Berwick, Maine and attended schools in South Berwick, Maine. She also attended the University of New Hampshire and a graduate of McIntosh College. She worked at Lindt and Sprungli in Stratham, NH before becoming a volunteer at Furr Cat Rescue in Gonic, NH. She loved animals, especially cats, and was sometimes referred to as the cat whisperer at Furr. She enjoyed quiet moments with her cats at home.
Erica enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding and spending quiet times with family and friends. She had a sensitive aura about her that was both soothing and calming.
Erica was predeceased by her grandmother, Ann Dalke of Portsmouth, NH whom she was very close to.
She is survived by her loving husband Henry Ferland after 20 years of being together. Also her step children Brandon Ferland and his wife Ashleigh with their children Angus and Eivin of Coronado, California, Kyle Ferland and his wife Julie with their children Christopher and Charles of Suffolk, Virginia and Ashley Ferland of Laconia, NH with her daughter Maggie O'Connor.
She is also survived by her parents Michael and Nichola Lilly of South Berwick, Maine; her oldest brother Michael Lilly Jr and his family of Santa Clarita, California, her sister Valerie Mullen and her family of Gilbert, Arizona and her closest brother John D Lilly and his family of Katy, Texas. She had a special bond with her brother John D and his son Nicholas.
She is also survived by her dear cousin Linda Zacharias, who she also had a special bond with, and her husband Allan Anderson. Their loving support and comfort made this journey easier. She is also survived by her great aunt Erica Dodge of Portsmouth, NH.
Erica was one of a kind. She sought out the good in everyone and was always understanding and sympathetic. She will be dearly missed.
