E.R. Paul Couture, Sr., age 78, of Willey Road in Milton Mills, died July 17, 2012 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, surrounded by his loving family.
Born September 20, 1933 in Rochester, son of Ernest A. and Antoinette (Guilbeau) Couture, he was raised and resided in Gonic for years and was a graduate of Spaulding High School, Class of 1953. He resided in Milton Mills the past 38 years.
Paul was a veteran of the Army National Guard. Prior to retirement, he was employed with Eastern Air Devices in Dover for 50 years.
An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and NasCar. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, his beehives and he loved listening to his grandchildren.
Survived by his wife of 52 years Constance (Parent) Couture and their 3 children: Patricia and husband James Paul Nesbitt, Jr. of Farmington, Tina L. and husband Dale Jewell of Berwick, Maine, E.R. Paul Couture, Jr. and wife Michelle of Wakefield, 9 grandchildren: Holly, Katherine and Jimmy Nesbitt, Tyler Haskins, Tina, Stephen and Shawn Jewell, Griffin and Gabby Couture, 4 great grandchildren: Kailyn, Iain and Corbin Ours, Logan Thomas Branch, 2 siblings: Maryann Lane of South Carolina and Archie Couture of Gonic, also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Richard Couture.
Calling hours are Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 1-4pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH with a prayer service at 2pm by Fr. Edmund A. Babicz and military honors by the United States Army at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
