Elsie Dora (Lussier) Gagnon, age 76, of Merrymeeting Road in New Durham, died December 15, 2010 at Rochester Manor.

The daughter of Henry and Belleanna (Thibeault) Lussier, she was born June 22, 1934 and raised in Peterborough and has resided in New Durham for the past 50 years.

A homemaker, she was a former Den mother for Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America, a Brownie leader for Girl Scout Council of America and she coordinated Red Cross swimming lessons in New Durham.

Predeceased by her husband Hilaire V. Gagnon, who died October 14, 2010, she is survived by their 4 children: Kathleen Hurd, Kenneth Gagnon, Kristine Gagnon and Kathryn Gagnon, 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, a brother: Pete Lussier and 2 sisters: Ida Baldwin and Jane Baird, also several Nieces and Nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 40 Hidden Springs Road (Route 28N) in Alton, NH with Fr. Robert Cole, pastor, as celebrant. A visitation is prior to the service from 9-9:30am at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street, Alton, NH.
