Elaine Marie Laney, age 63, of Lancaster Road in Northumberland, died quietly at home, early Friday morning, May 13, 2016, after a long battle with cancer.

Born December 24, 1952 in Rochester, NH, the daughter of Frank M. Cutter, Sr. and Marion R. (Nelson) Cutter, she was raised in Farmington and was a graduate of Farmington High School. She had resided in North Carolina, Montana, Farmington and in Northumberland, NH.

Elaine had worked at the former Union Telephone Company in Farmington and also at Brocks Plywood Sales in Rochester.

She enjoyed bow shooting at the Farmington Fish and Game Club, and bow shooting to support "Aiming For A Cure". She held a annual scholarship bow shoot through Profile Bowmen in honor of her son Mathew which helped send kids to camp to further learn about hunting safety.

Survived by her husband of 42 years: Dave Laney of Northumberland, their son Dave and wife Debra Laney of Stratford, 3 grandchildren: Douglas, Devin and Emily, 2 brothers: Frank Cutter, Jr. and wife Jean of Farmington, Arthur and wife Pat Cutter of Georgia, 1 aunt, 1 uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews and dear friends including Spade and Vicki Phalen. Predeceased by her son Mathew Laney and siblings: Norma Wheeler, Merle Cutter, Richard Cutter and Carroll Cutter.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 4, 2016 at 12:00pm (noontime)at her brother and sister in-Law's house Frank and Jean Cutter at 21 Brown Road in Farmington. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Weeks Medical Center Oncology Department 173 Middle Street Lancaster, NH 03584.
