Obituary

Earl H. Blake, age 89, formerly of Spring Street in Farmington, died December 28, 2013 at Epsom Healthcare Center.

Born September 25, 1924 in Glencliff, NH the son of Eugene and Della (Heath) Blake, he was raised in West Alton, NH and attended school in Alton. He resided for many years on Spring Street in Farmington.

Prior to retirement, he was employed as a Security Officer at the former Davidson Rubber, he also had delivered the Union Leader Newspaper for 20 years.

Earl had served as a Police Officer with the Town of Farmington for 12 years, he also served as a Volunteer Fireman with the Farmington Fire Department.

He also was an avid news photographer for several local newspapers.

Widower of the late Alice F. (Dimond) Blake, he is survived by a son: Richard A. and wife Lorraine Blake of Rochester, a daughter: Beverly Quimby of Farmington, 4 grandchildren: Ann, Lisa, Sarah and Christopher, also several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Roland Blake.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 11:00 at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with a calling hour prior to the service from 10-11am.
