Dottie June Richardson

Dottie June (Salyards) Richardson age 77 passed away January 27, 2013 due to complications from a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
She was born June 1, 1935 in Altoona, PA along with her twin brother Ronald Salyards. She was the daughter of Harry and Ruth Salyards. She grew up in Altoona, PA. She has also lived in New Hampshire, Maine, Florida, and South Carolina.
She was a graduate of Altoona High School, and she attended nursing school for one year.
She did not fulfill the dream of becoming a registered nurse. She made the choice to build a loving family instead.
She has two predeceased sons: Michael Paul Howard & James Richardson. The surviving children are: Alfred Richardson, Raymond Richardson, Patricia Richardson- Morse & Michelle Richardson – Reagan. She has 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
She attended Northside Baptist Church in Woodruff, SC for many years. She was a Sunday school teacher and sang in the church choir. She was also a volunteer at the Helping Hands Ministry in Woodruff, SC. She loved teaching the children about Jesus.
She blessed everyone's lives that she came into contact with in some special way.
An interment service will be held in Alton, NH in May. A memorial service will be held in Woodruff, SC in the spring. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, plants and sympathy cards to please make memorials to the children's church in which she loved and taught:
