Donald E. Pomroy, Jr., 80, of Silver Street in Milton, died December 30, 2010 at the Riverside Rest Home, after a period of failing health.

Born June 22, 1930 in Boothbay, ME the son of the late Donald and Abbie (Bailey) Pomroy Sr. He was raised in the Rochester, NH area and has been a resident of Milton, NH for over 55 years.

Donald retired from Prime Tanning of Berwick, ME. He also had worked for over 21 years at Spaulding Fibre in Milton.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and feeding the birds.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years; Barbara A. (Garyait) Pomroy of Milton, 2 daughters: Pamela and her husband Dan Vachon of Rochester, NH and Judi and her husband Ken Bernier of Exeter, NH; 3 brothers: Fernald Pomroy of Brooklynn, CT, Merle and his wife Barbara Pomroy of Rochester, NH, Birlem Pomroy of Greenland, NH; 3 sisters: Lois Gardner of Etna, NH, Ferne Boudreau of Rochester, NH, June Frost of Steep Falls, ME; 4 grandchildren: Kayla Vachon of Dover, NH, Dustin Vachon of Rochester, NH, Robert Bernier of Gonic, NH, David Bernier of Exeter, NH; one great-grandson: Hunter Bernier of Gonic, NH, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
