Donald O. Best, age 69, of Suncook Valley Road in Alton, died February 23, 2023 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Born May 23, 1953 in Lynn, Massachusetts, son of Donald B. and Isobel (Ogilvie) Best, he resided there for many years.  He lived in Alton, NH  for forty years.

Donnie worked many years as an Auto Mechanic, retiring from Irwin Motors in Laconia.

He loved cars, antique cars and hot rods, he also loved music and movies, a big fan of Elvis.

Survived his wife of fifty years Louise E. (Arsenault) Best and their 3 children:  Amy Best, Kate & husband Brian King, Phil & wife Allison Best, 4 grandchildren: Chloe Best, Aaron King, Henry Gardner and Harper Best, a sister Peggy Frechette, a brother Scott Best, and his best friend Kirt Hussey.

Donald's last gift to others was being an organ donor.
