Diantha Sweet (Thayer) Moulton, 75, of Alton, NH died with love in her heart for her family on May 11, 2022.
She was born September 2, 1946, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Dorothy M. (Fellows) Thayer.
Diantha grew up and graduated from high school in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. She summered in the family cottage in Alton Bay from 1955 to 1967, when she married her husband Francis E. Moulton and moved permanently to make her home in Alton. She served as the Alton Tax Collector from 1976 through 1985. After a brief time, she returned to public service for the town in various positions, serving a brief time as Town Clerk in 1999. She served a total of 25 years, always meeting and enjoying all the people of Alton and making many friends.
After retirement, she enjoyed her family. In 2008 she along with her grandson Brett, took her very first bus tour to Quebec City, which began her love of traveling on the bus to many exciting destinations in a part of the USA and Canada. She even traveled with a tour to Church Hill Manitoba Canada to see the Polar bears. She made new friends while traveling.
She was the loving mother of Sharon and her husband Glenn of Alton, NH. She also leaves behind a Sister Donnalynn Studley of Amelia Island Florida, a nephew Rob Studley of Newcastle Maine, a Niece Julianne and her husband Lou Modugno of Morristown, NJ and her great nieces and nephew Lunden and husband Michael Scheller, Isabella, Christiana and Nicholas Modugno and great great nephews and niece Michael, Matthew, and Madeline Scheller. She also leaves behind her brother-in- law Carl and wife Linda Moulton of Alton, many other nephews, and nieces, adopted grandchildren and adopted great grandchildren, her grand pup Echo and grand Turtle Yoda.
She was predeceased by her husband Francis E. Moulton, her grandson Brett Lamper, her pup Daphne, her grand pup Brady, her bother-in -law Bruce Studley, her brother-in-law Arthur "Skip" Moulton and his wife Ann Moulton.
