Diane Gail Brown, age 61, of Farmington, died March 20, 2015, quietly at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 10, 1953 in Portsmouth, a daughter of Rogers Alan Ward and Pauline Ruth (Collins) Ward Thompson, she was raised in York, Maine. She resided in Barrington and Rochester, NH for years and resided in Farmington, NH the past six years.
Diane had worked as a seamstress for Strafford County at Riverside Rest Home. She had owned and operated the former "Mending Dragon" in Somersworth.
Diane had received her 13 year medallion for sobriety and had cherished the fellowship and its members. She enjoyed crafts, collected DVD's and "Betty Boop" items.
Survived by her son: Keith Brown of Farmington, 2 daughters: Tammy Brown of Farmington, Lisa and husband Todd Clark of Strafford, 5 grandchildren, a brother: William Ward of Barrington, 2 sisters: Shirley Sterling of East Baldwin, Maine and Pauline Belt of Cortland, New York, also several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother and father and a brother John Ward.
A graveside service will be held in May at Pine Grove Cemetery in Barrington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help defray the final expense to: Peaslee Funeral Home 24 Central Street Farmington, NH 03835.
