Dennis E. Nichols, age 62, of Amherst Street in Biddeford, Maine, died suddenly, of natural cause, on February 9, 2016.
Born February 18, 1953 in Rochester, NH, son of Rensford Nichols, Sr. and Gertrude (Haycock) Nichols, he resided the past 8 years in Biddeford, Maine, having resided for most of his life in Rochester, New Hampshire.
Dennis had worked at local shoe factories in Farmington and Rochester, NH and worked as a machine operator at the former Thompson Center Arms in Rochester.
He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and cutting wood, he especially loved his children and grandchildren.
Survived by his 4 children: Matthew L. Nichols, Mark W. Nichols, Christina L. Nichols and Jennifer K. Grant, 11 grandchildren, a sister Gloria Driscoll, a brother James Nichols, also many nieces, nephews and his longtime companion Nancy Kellher. Predeceased by 2 brothers: Clifton Nichols and Rensford "Sonny" Nichols, Jr.
Calling hours are Friday, February 12, 2016 from 3-5pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with a service at 5pm by Rev. Richard Rizzi, pastor of First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington, NH.
