Acton, ME

Dennis Mark Drena, age 64, of Wyman Point Road, died December 5, 2020 at his home.

Born in Hartford, CT on February 16, 1956, the son of John M. Drena, Jr. and Rose M. (Grano) Drena. Dennis was raised in Newington, CT. He has resided in Acton, ME for over 20 years, coming from East Wakefield, NH and Brownsville, VT.

Mark was a former owner and operator of Woodman Corner Market "Big Red Store" in East Wakefield. He was a skilled Butcher, and took pride in whipping up the store's finest home cooked meals. Mark  has a Single Engine Pilot's License and he enjoyed luxury cars and motorcycles and he had a special love for all animals.

While in Vermont Mark worked at Mount Ascutney and also sold Lindall Cedar Homes. Mark enjoyed gardening, fishing, water skiing and spending time with his dog Jake. He mostly looked forward to the time that he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Survived by children; Jason J. Drena of East Wakefield and Fiancée Elizabeth (his children; Ned, Max, Emmilyn, and Leo), Debra A. (Drena) Garrison and husband Edward of Hebron, CT (their children; Haley, Dylan, Zachary, Justine, Joshua, and Julianna), Michael J. Drena and wife Tiffani of East Wakefield (their children; Aubrie, and Piper), Natasha R. Randall and husband Jerry of Milton, NH (their children; Trey, Sophia, and Xander), a brother; John M. Drena and wife Jean of Lake Placid, FL, a sister; Diane Drena Auer of South Hamilton, MA, many aunts and uncles, several cousins, nieces, and nephews, his first former wife; Kathleen A. Pignone of Newington, CT. Predeceased by his second former wife; Deborah A. Salone.

Due to circumstances of COVID-19, a private service will be held at a later date. Cremation care by Peaslee Funeral Home.
