Obituary

David Alan Perkins, 50, of Manchester, NH died on January 2, 2022 after he sustained injuries from an automobile crash in Rochester, NH. He was born on August 29, 1971 in Rochester, NH to Keith K. Perkins Sr. and Cynthia F. (Morgan) Garyait.

David was employed at Rangeley Enterprises, LLC in Raymond, NH where he performed construction work and drove heavy machinery. David always enjoyed working jobs that were physically demanding. He was well liked by everyone he worked with.

David was always a lover of nature, both plant and animal life. In his brain he carried tomes of information about various wildlife. He knew their habits, habitations, and the why and wherefore of their existence. David's favorite animal was the turtle. David found great pleasure in fording a swamp in the summer so that he could explore the wonder and occurrence of flora and fauna on the other side. He also loved to grab a fishing pole and follow the river in Milton or meet up with friends to fish off the bridge. David had an adventurous spirit that inspired many people, especially the children in the family, to be enthusiastic about nature and being outside.

Another passion of David's was music. David taught himself to play the guitar and was interested in music composition. David appreciated meaningful lyrics. David won a "Young Authors Award" in Elementary school, and that might have sparked his appreciation for good writing.

David is survived by his four children Scott Perkins, Bryce Perkins, Haze Broadhurst, and Hannah Broadhurst and his five grandchildren Payton, Brady, Pearl, Grace, and Gideon who he loved more dearly than they could ever know; five of his six siblings Keith K. Perkins Jr., Andrew S. Perkins, Dean E. Woodrum, Emily R. Mack, and Gabrielle A. Mack; and his special friend Justina Jensen.

David was predeceased by his younger brother Peter F. LeClair; his father Keith K. Perkins Sr.; his paternal grandparents Melvin and June Perkins; and his maternal grandparents Maynard and Florence Morgan. The man David admired the most in this whole world was his grandfather, Maynard Anson Morgan, who predeceased David by less than a year.

For those of you: family, friend, or foe; David would want you to know that he knew that the Lord Jesus was real, his Savior, and that he could not be denied just because we as humans fail miserably at times. David would want you to take full advantage of these two scriptures:

John 3:16 , "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Romans 10:9,10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

David loved us all far more than we may ever understand, and we will miss him far more than we have yet to realize.

No immediate funeral or memorial services are scheduled. The family plans to announce a Celebration of Life in the Spring so that friends and family can gather to spread Dave's ashes among the wildlife. The family welcomes memorial donations to:
