David Wayne James, Sr., age 78, of Farmington, N.H., died Saturday, April 18, 2015, peacefully with his loving family by his side.

Born March 29, 1937 in Jay, Maine, son of Charles Elbridge & Hazel Amy (Smith) James. He attended schools in Jay, Maine.

David married on October 29, 1955 to Faye Anita (Richards) James. They had eight children, 25 grandchildren, & 10 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents, a grandchild Timothy Wayne Williams, & nine siblings: Esther, Christine, Ruth, C. Kenneth, Richard, Merton, Myrtle, John, & Pearl.
Survived by his wife Faye, a sister Helen Hall (of Jay, Maine), & all his children: David "Jr", Peter, Kathy, Cynthia, Vicky, Jeffrey, Robert, & Theodore.

He worked at various local shoe shops and construction companies.
A loving husband and father, who's greatest joy was his family, especially his loving wife Faye.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, all Boston sports teams, Nascar Racing. As a youngster he played semi-pro sports. He was a state champ of horseshoe pitching, & ran various horseshoe leagues.
David truly had a great voice, played in various bands in his younger years. As he got older he enjoyed playing music with his son-in-law Brian Daudelin.
