Daphne C. LaPlante, age 64, of Coffin Brook Road in Alton, died February 9, 2015, at home, with her loving family.
Born May 12, 1950 in Wolfeboro, the daughter of Donald C. Thomas and Jean (Sturtevant) Thomas Stevens, she was a graduate of Kingswood High School and Franklin Pierce College.
She resided in Alton for 8 years, previously residing in Concord for 10 years and in Laconia for many years.
Daphne loved her last employment, a Realtor/Broker with ReMax Connection in Concord.
She enjoyed camping, kayaking, sewing, crafts and most especially spending time with her grandsons.
Survived by her husband Richard F. LaPlante, Jr., daughter: Andrea R. and husband Keith W. Dube, 2 grandsons: Ryan and Kyle Dube, 2 sisters: Valerie Thomas and Elizabeth Gelinas, 5 half sisters: Stephanie Dodge, Gretchen Stevens, Penny Garrett, Amy Mitchell and Melissa Daigle, also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Sunday from 2-4 pm at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street, Alton, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, 189 North Main Street, Rochester, NH with Fr. Paul Gousse, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be in the spring at Bayview Cemetery in Laconia.
