IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Collin Jay
Trefethen
February 28, 2007 – May 21, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Collin J. Trefethen, 18, of Milton NH. Collin lost his courageous 8 month battle with cancer on May 21st, 2025. He passed away peacefully at the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital in Portland, ME. Collin attended the Milton School District his whole life and was currently a beloved Senior at Nute Middle High School. He was known not only for his gentle spirit but also for his continuous dedication to the Nute Rams baseball team. His love for the game and the relationships it fostered among his teammates was a testament to his character and sportsmanship.
Collin was a loving son, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and cherished by all who knew him. His kindness and infectious smile touched the lives of many, and he will be greatly missed by his family and the countless friends who loved him dearly. Collin enjoyed a quiet life, often hanging out in his room watching the Red Sox when he wasn't out playing ball, at the gym, or working his job at Hannaford. He truly had an ability to bring joy to those around him and to connect people together without even being aware of it.
He is survived by his parents, Jodi and Brian Trefethen of Milton; his grandparents, Barbara and Tom Howland of Milton, and William Trefethen of Green Valley, AZ; also several aunts, uncles, and cousins who he was very close with. Collin was predeceased by his Grandmother Nancy Trefethen and his Grandfather Jay McCusker.
Collin's legacy of love, friendship, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
