Claudette R. Mazgelis, age 86, of Concord Coach Lane in Litchfield, died July 13, 2017 at St. Francis Nursing Center in Laconia.
Born May 2, 1931 and raised in Brockton, MA, a daughter of Albert and Alida (Fortin) Nadeau, she was one of ten siblings. She resided for many years in Brockton, MA, in Windham, NH from 1980-2006 and resided in Litchfield, NH the past eleven years.
A loving homemaker and mother, she was a wonderful cook, also a seamstress.
Survived by her husband of 65 years: John D. Mazgelis and their 5 children: a daughter Joanne Wyszynski, 4 sons: Matthew, Paul, Daniel and Joshua Mazgelis, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, her brother Paul Nadeau, also many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11am at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 40 Hidden Springs Road (Route 28N) in Alton, NH with Fr. Robert F. Cole, pastor, as celebrant. A calling hour is prior to the service from 9am-10:15am at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street, Alton, NH. Private interment will be later at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association in Bedford, NH.
