Claud E. Land, ?Chuck?, ?Rebel?, 78, of Farmington, N.H. passed away on Thursday December 9, 2010 at the Hyder Family Hospice House. Born February 9, 1932 in Alva, Oklahoma to the late Grace Zander and Earl Land, he served over twenty years in the US Air Force and was a Korean War Veteran.

Chuck worked for many years as a mechanic after he retired from the service. He was a man of values and a jack of all trades. He took pleasure in conversation and was a good listener with sound advice. Chuck liked automobiles, planes, puzzles and was enthusiastic about US History. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage with his latest yard sale treasures, spending summers at Ossipee Lake Camping Area with family and friends, and he was a talented dancer.

A loving husband and father, Chuck leaves his wife Irene Land, who was always by his side, and six children; Charles Land and his wife Lawanna, Craig Land and his wife Johanne, Deborah Gagnon and her husband William, Patricia Land, Laura Sutton and her husband David, and Ginny Smith. He was dearly loved and will be truly missed by his 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday December 14th at the Peaslee Funeral Home on 24 Central St. in Farmington, NH. Friends may call from 12pm until the hour of the funeral. Interment will follow with military honors at the Pine Grove Cemetery.
