Claire E. Gray, age 83, of Colonial Circle in Farmington, died July 27, 2012 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Born October 8, 1928 in Brockton, MA, the daughter of Dennis D. and Leona M. (DePatra) Harriman. She has been a life long resident of Farmington.

A retired Shoe shop worker, Claire had worked at the H.O. Rondeau Shoe Co. in Farmington and for the Fournier Shoe Co. in Dover.

Hobbies included: knitting and crocheting, and enjoyed making cakes and baked goods for many who enjoyed her goodies.

She is survived by 1 son: David B. and his wife Lorna Gray of Farmington, 3 daughters: Sandra G. and her husband Joseph Couture of Dover, Darlene A. and her husband George Manny of Tucson, AZ, Lisa M. and her husband George Abbott of Farmington, 17 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband of 46 years: Everett D. Gray July 9, 1992, her brother Floyd Harriman and her beloved dogs Sandy, Mittens and Samantha.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a funeral to be held on Monday July 30, 2012 at 11:00 am with calling hour one hour prior from 10-11am at the Peaslee Funeral Home 24 Central Street Farmington. Interment will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
