Obituary

It is with great love and sadness that we share the passing of Christopher "Chris" Edward Neslusan, age 61, of Alton, NH, who died peacefully on November 6, 2025, after courageously living with Parkinson type Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).

Chris grew up in Portsmouth, where service and community were central to his life. Chris was an altar server at St. James Church, and a proud member of the Boy Scouts of America, where he earned the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout. A 1983 graduate of Portsmouth High School, Chris played percussion in the Clipper High School band and took great pride in his role on the snare drum line of the marching band.

After earning his degree from Southern Maine Community College in 1993, Chris began a meaningful career as a respiratory therapist, providing compassionate care to countless patients. Chris spoke fondly of his work colleagues and considered them as part of his extended family. Chris also served as a certified CPR instructor and volunteered for many years as an EMT for the Greenland Volunteer Fire Department.

Outside of work, he found peace and joy in nature—whether camping, hiking, or spending time on his boat on Lake Winnipesauke, joined by his wife and children, nieces and nephews, and cherished family and friends. Chris especially loved surrounding himself with family, often hosting gatherings filled with warmth, laughter, and connection. His beloved bunnies were also a cherished part of his life, bringing him endless happiness and comfort.

Christopher is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Neslusan of Alton, NH; his parents, Joseph A. and Carol (Knurowski) Neslusan; and his four children, who were his greatest pride: Joseph Pearce Neslusan and his longtime partner Felicia Daughraty; Christopher David Neslusan and his wife Nicole Neslusan and their sons Pearce and Lucas; Alyssa Sophie Neslusan and her husband Michael McRae; and Katherine "Katie" Susan DiMambro and her husband Austin DiMambro and their daughters Ava and Sofia. Chris is also remembered by his former wife and mother of his children, Barbara Neslusan.

Chris also leaves behind his sisters: Lori Nugent and her husband Kevin, along with their children Shea, Owen, and Maeve; and Lisa Neslusan and her husband Steven Easler, with their daughters Emily and Josephine. Chris is also mourned by his dear friend David Hiltz, as well as many lifelong friends who held a special place in his heart.
