Obituary

Charles E. Reynolds, 80, of Bayonet Point, Florida, formerly of Middleton, NH died at home on March 24, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born September 24, 1934 in Cambridge, MA the son of the late Charles E. and Margaret A. (Tritch) Reynolds.
Charlie was raised in Wellesley, MA and graduated from Gamaliel Bradford Senior High School in 1952, Burdett College with a major in sales management in 1956 and Suffolk University with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1958. He was an athlete and played minor league baseball while in college. In 1960, he married Dorothy A. (MacPherson) and moved to Millis, MA where they lived for 21 years and raised their two sons.
Charlie owned and operated Huron Printing Company in Natick, MA until 1981 when he retired and moved to Sunrise Lake, Middleton, NH. In 1989 his first granddaughter, Erica Ann was born and Charlie enjoyed a special time caring for her while her parents were working. In his retirement he served as a Selectman for the Town of Middleton and worked for Irving Oil in Farmington until 2013 when he and Dottie moved to sunny Bayonet Point, Florida.

Charlie had many interests. He enjoyed golf, gardening, growing his own flowers, bird watching and stone masonry, particularly creating retaining walls, a distinct New England tradition. He was an avid New England sports fan, scrap booking articles from all of his favorite sports teams, the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics. He particularly enjoyed supporting his son David and his Race Car team at Lee USA Speedway.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 55 years Dorothy (Dottie) Reynolds; his two sons, David and his wife Julie, and Barry and his wife Lori of Middleton, NH. His grandchildren were the love of his life and will miss their Papa greatly. They include granddaughters Erica Ann Reynolds (fiancée Kevin Wallace), Sarah Elizabeth and Patricia Lynne Reynolds; grandsons Nicholas Reynolds and Jason Parker (wife Tiffany); great grandchildren Madison, Hannah and Jase Parker and Farrah Wallace. He is also survived by an uncle, Paul Welch; cousins: Lynn Welch, Greg and wife Robin Welch all of South Portland ME, niece Chris Ann Cruse, and nephew Robbie Tatham of California. Godchild Cynthia (Cindy) Pfiefer of Natick, MA and very special friend Ute M. Peaslee of Farmington, NH and Bayonet, Florida. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Doris V. Tatham. We would like to extend a very special thank you to Charlie's daughter-in-law Julie for the special care she provided during his brief illness.
There will be a Celebration of his Life on May 2, 2015 from 12pm to 1pm at Peaslee Funeral Home 24 Central Street Farmington, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to Cornerstone VNA, 178 Farmington Road, Rochester, NH 03867.
