Obituary
Charles F. Ellis, age 87, of Smith Court in Farmington, died September 5, 2016, at home.
Born April 7, 1929 in Milton, the son of Lloyd F. and Eleanor (Londo) Ellis, he resided in Farmington for 10 years, previously residing in Rochester and Milton.
A Veteran of the United States Army, he was a member of the American Legion.
He had worked at many local shoe factories and also at Lydall.
An artist, he also enjoyed woodworking and carving. He was proud of his Native American Heritage, half Cherokee.
Survived by his wife of 50 years: Carol A. (Dugan) Ellis, a daughter Heidi L.and husband Glenn Sanford, 2 sons: David C. and wife Rita Ellis and Emrick E. Ellis, 6 grandchildren: Patty Joe, Matthew, Rosalie, Zachary, Katy and Robert, 2 great grandchildren: Dameon and Lillian, a sister: Evodia Ellis and 3 brothers: Russell Ellis Sr., Kenneth Ellis and Roger Ellis, also 1 aunt, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday September 9, 2016 at 11am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH with a calling hour prior to the service from 10-11am. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Cocheco Valley Humane Society, 262 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820.
