Charles F. Currier, Jr., age 72, of Farmington, died suddenly on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Rochester, the son of Charles F. Currier, Sr. and Merle (Bunker) Currier, he was a lifelong resident of Farmington, a graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1960.
A Veteran of the United States Army, he served in Vietnam in 1968 and was a member of the Army National Guard.
Having been in business with his father, C.F. Currier & Son, he was self employed as a contractor, building homes for many years.
Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed his family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening, making maple syrup, walking in the woods, taking care of and helping others.
Survived by his wife of almost 50 years: Linda M. (Gordon) Currier, their daughter Christine and her husband Shaun, his grandchildren: Nicholas Popek, Kendra Popek, Kayleigh McCluskey and Brayden McCluskey, a brother Sherburne Currier, a sister Lorene Stuart, also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-7 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11am at the funeral home, interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to your local Humane Society.
