IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles A.
"Chuck" Ginter, Iii
July 20, 1952 – October 24, 2024
Sanbornville, N.H.
Charles A. Ginter III, better known as "Chuck", passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the age of 72 surrounded by his children and grandchildren after a long and courageous battle with cancer at Wentworth Douglass Hospital.
Chuck was born July 20, 1952 in Windsor, VT the son of Charles and Marion Ginter. He grew up in Springfield, VT where he graduated from high school in 1970 and then after attended Castleton College in Castleton, VT. Chuck married the love of his life, Pamela (Jones) Ginter, who he affectionately referred to as "Pammie" on December 29, 1973. They enjoyed 45 years of marriage until her passing in 2019. Our family finds comfort knowing that they are together again enjoying each other's laughter and banter in heaven after 5 long years apart. The best parents in the world, our lives will never be the same without them.
Chuck worked in the hardware and lumber industry for over 40 years. He was a sales representative for Orgill, Inc. for the last 20 years. He spent every day of his working life loving what he did for a living. More so than his passion for hardware sales was his passion for getting to know his customers on a personal level and helping them be successful. He always said, "my job isn't to sell things, my job is to help my customers find solutions." The greatest joy of his job was the relationships he was able to build with those customers, many of whom became friends and even family over the span of his career.
However, the most important job he ever had was being a Dad. Anyone who knew Chuck knew his family was everything to him. He loved waking up early on Sunday mornings to make his family breakfast, he is well known for his famous Mickey Mouse pancakes. He shared special bonds with each of his children. He loved strolling around bookstores for hours with Erin looking for new reads and they enjoyed being able to work together through Bradley's Hardware sharing their love for hardware and customer service. He and Kate shared a love for sports. He taught her to golf at Farmington Country Club at a young age, how to break in a softball glove and sparked competitiveness on the basketball court with countless games or HORSE. He would travel far and wide to never miss a softball or basketball game and always had a Dunkin Donut in hand for her after every game. He and Chris enjoyed shooting guns together at the range, a hobby they took up together when Chris was young, which started Chris' lifelong passion for hunting. The last 6 years Chuck relished in the role of "Papa" to his grandchildren, Logan and Olivia. He passed his tradition of making Mickey Mouse pancakes down to Logan and loved swinging with Olivia on the swing set and soaking up her laughter.
Chuck is survived by his children Christopher Ginter, Erin Ginter and partner Kevin Pike, Kate Cameron and her husband Steven; two grandchildren Logan and Olivia Cameron; siblings Neil Ginter and his wife Sheila, David Ginter and his wife Meredith Roberts; sisters Pamela Piper Yeung and Laurel Broughton. Chuck is also survived by his dear friends Fred Cameron and Fred Lloyd. Chuck is predeceased by his wife Pamela Ginter and his parents Charles and Marion Ginter.
