Cedric W. Clough, age 76, of Roller Coaster Road in Strafford, died February 15, 2020, after a single motor vehicle accident, close to home, after spending Saturday with his family celebrating a birthday.
Born November 19, 1943 and raised in Epping, son of Charles F. and Celia A. (Fuller) Clough, a graduate of Watson Academy. He lived in many surrounding communities, including Barrington and resided in Strafford the past 21 years.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea.
Cedric was retired, a painter, with Phillips Exeter Academy.
He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, swimming in Bow Lake, and loved riding his motorcycle.
Survived by his 3 daughters: Stacy and husband Kenneth Whelan of Lebanon, Maine, Regina and husband Gary Lytle of Barrington, Heidi Clough of Dover, 5 grandchildren: Nicholas Lytle and fiancée Ashley Carter, Erika and husband Gage Houser, Keegan Whelan, Bryan Lytle and promised Emily Perkins, and Parker Whelan, 3 great grandchildren: Branson Carter, Olliver Houser and Luanna Lytle, mother of his 3 daughters: Margaretta Clough, numerous nieces and nephews, brother in law Frank Griffin, sister in law Shirley Clough. Predeceased by his parents and siblings: Edgar, Ada, Charlie and Colin.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH with a calling hour prior to the service from 10-11am. Urn interment will be at Strafford Center Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
