In Loving Memory of Carol A. Bucknam
Carol A. Bucknam, a longtime resident of East Wakefield, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026. She was born on April 16, 1946, in Melrose, Massachusetts, to George and Esther Robinson.
Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of many. She was known for her giving spirit and willingness to help anyone in need. Throughout her life, especially in her younger years, Carol opened her home and her heart to others. Her home was a welcoming place where family, friends, and neighbors always knew they could find comfort, support, and a helping hand.
Carol enjoyed collecting treasures, searching for bargains, and never passing up a good sale. She especially loved holiday decorations and took great joy in celebrating each season with festive displays.
One of Carol's greatest gifts was her dedication to staying connected with those she loved. Birthdays, holidays, and special occasions were important to her, and she made it a priority to call family and friends, check in on them, and let them know they were always in her thoughts.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Robert, Richard, and Donna, and her son-in-law, Christopher; her brother, William, and sister-in-law, Deborah; and her niece and nephew, Courtney and William Jr.
Carol also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kelly, Pamela Joe, Jodi, Shawna, Danny Jr., Shane, Candace, Michael, and Cassidy, as well as many beloved great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Diane; her life partner, John; her parents, George and Esther Robinson; her sister, Lynda; her only cousin, Irene; and her beloved granddaughter, Hailey.
Carol leaves behind much more than a family tree. She leaves a legacy of love, generosity, and compassion. She will be remembered for welcoming others into her home, never forgetting a birthday, always thinking of those she cared about, and believing there was always room for one more person and probably one more bargain.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, August 31, at Woodman Cemetery in East Wakefield, New Hampshire, 11am. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate Carol's life. A reception will immediately follow at Blue Bay Restaurant, where loved ones may share memories and fellowship in her remembrance.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and will remain forever in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
