Carl E. Valrand, age 72, of River Road in Farmington, NH passed away on December 29, 2013 at the Colonial Hill Center in Rochester surrounded by his family.

Born on April 18, 1941 he was preceded in death by the late Russell E. Valrand, Mother Bernice M. (Corson) Murby, Father Guy Murby, Brother William Murby and Son Dale Gilmore. Survived by his Daughters, Kerry L. Valrand of Rochester, Julie A. Valrand-Mann of Rochester, Kim Patterson of Alton, his greatest love, Diane Valrand-Nielsen, his sister Gail A. McManus, his nephew Chris McManus, Grandchildren, Heather Corriveau and Heath Patterson and Great Grandchildren, Ethan and Maya Corriveau.

Carl's passion was his music. A Musician, Vocalist and Songwriter, his talents touched the hearts of all who knew him. His sense of humor and love for animals showed his softer side. After retiring from the Local Union 976 in Portsmouth his hobbies included woodworking, gardening and boating.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, with a calling hour prior to the service from 10-11am.
