Cameron "Kirk" Kirkpatrick, age 77, of Alton, NH, passed away on April 25, 2025 at Concord Hospital with his wife by his side.
Born in Rochester, NH on August 5, 1947, son of George D. Kirkpatrick and Barbara S. (Phillips) Kirkpatrick.
Kirk worked for NAPA Auto Parts of Rochester for many years and in 1986 wanted to start his own NAPA store in Farmington. He put his heart and soul into his business and made it a great success for over 38 years along with his wife and children; Dan and Missy. He also owned the Rochester and Sanbornville NAPA stores for a few years. In 2023, he purchased the PIKE building on Route 11 and turned it into his dream store. He was very proud of his accomplishments. Many thanks to Bob Meader and the Budel Construction crew for making his dream store a reality and Arthur Cardinal, who helped him from 1986 when he opened his first store.
He loved hunting, fishing, planting his garden in the spring, and raising pigs. He enjoyed his hunting trips in Northern Quebec Caribou Hunting, fishing trips to Lake Ontario with his wife and brother, friends Fred March and John Drew with Hatrick Charters, and Captain James Staves, who became a very good friend.
Kirk leaves behind his wife of 55 years; Roberta "Bobbie" (Hoage) Kirkpatrick, son, Daniel Kirkpatrick and spouse Jill Daneault, daughter, Melissa "Missy" Drolet and husband Ken, son, Thomas Kirkpatrick and wife Meg, 5 grandchildren, Richard Drolet, Devon Hudson and husband Nate, Krystal Drolet, Joshua Kirkpatrick, and Caleb Kirkpatrick, 3 step grandchildren, Andrea, Amanda, and Maria Daneault, 7 great grandchildren, Richard Jr., Roselynn, Reece, Remington, Zakkariah, Eleanor, and Jacob, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, beloved pets and his loyal employees over the years.
Predeceased by his parents George and Barbara Kirkpatrick, his brother and sister-in-law Douglas E. and Sandra Kirkpatrick, father and mother-in-law, Robert C. and Anne Hoage, brothers-in-law, Robert "Jake" and Terry Hoage, sister-in-law, Jean Cutter, great granddaughter, Riley Jade Drolet, along with his best friend from childhood Fred Chase and many others he befriended over the years.
A celebration of Kirk's life will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 12:00pm-4:00pm at the Alton American Legion, Post 72 (164 Wolfeboro Highway in Alton.)
