Byron L. Sprague, age 88, a longtime resident of Farmington, died December 5, 2016 at Studley Home in Rochester.
Born February 28, 1928 in Kittery, Maine, son of Stanley and Evelyn (Farley) Sprague, he resided in Farmington for many years and most recently in Rochester.
He was retired from General Electric.
Byron was a former longtime member of the Farmington Volunteer Fire Department, he was also a member of REACT team.
Widower of the late Patricia I. (Pulsifer) Sprague, he is survived by their children: Paul Sprague, David Sprague, Nancy Gordon, Crystal Mooers and Patti Masse, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, a brother Kenny Sprague, 3 sisters: Barbara Talon, Clara Page and Joanne Varney, also many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Kevin Sprague, siblings: Jean Glidden, Stanley Sprague and George Sprague, also his longtime companion: Ruth Tasso.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 3pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with a calling hour prior to the service from 2-3 pm. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Compassus Hospice of No. Hampton.
