Bruce W. Atwell, age 68, of Lakewood Drive, Alton Bay, NH, died quietly at home, April 15, 2015.
Born December 17, 1946 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, the son of Arthur E. Atwell and Mary Della (Graham) Atwell. He resided in Alton Bay, NH since 1999, having previously resided in Sandown, NH
He was retired from Digital Equipment Corporation.
Bruce was a member of A.A. An avid reader, he also enjoyed doing puzzles.
Survived by his wife: Betty M. (Snape) Atwell, a daughter: Valerie Churchill, a brother Terry Atwell of Texas, 2 sisters: Sheila Kurtz and Sharon Atwell, both of Holyoke, MA, also several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 4 brothers: Robert Guenette, Bernard Guenette, Alfred Guenette and Gareth Atwell.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 12 Noon at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 40 Hidden Springs Road (Route 28N) in Alton, NH with Fr. Robert F. Cole, pastor, as celebrant. A memorial gathering will follow the mass at the Atwell home on Lakewood Drive. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Lakes Region Oncology Department at LRGH, 80 Highland Street, Laconia, NH 03246. Cremation care by Peaslee Alton Funeral Home.
