Brian Emmett Eagar, 68, of Wakefield, NH, passed away peacefully of natural causes at his home on August 22, 2023. He was born at Fitken Hospital, Neptune NJ in 1955, and raised by parents George Eagar and Virginia Faherty Shepard in Brielle, NJ. He attended the Peddie School in NJ as well as the Northfield Mount Hermon secondary school in Northfield, Massachusetts, College of the Plains in Plano, TX and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
He is survived by his children, Dustin Eagar & Sarah Eagar Perry; their mother, Lucille Eagar; his new grandchild, Hannah Perry; and sister, Caron Grich. He also leaves behind many friends who loved him deeply.
He travelled extensively throughout Asia, and embarked on a culinary career that took him on a journey to some of the most exclusive hotel and restaurant kitchens in the world. He later managed some of the top private clubs in the country including the Harvard Club of Boston, the Rancho Mirage Country Club in California and The Ocean Beach Club in New Jersey. He spent 6 years as Vice President for the Snelling Corporation in Boston and taught Hospitality Management at Chamberlain College and Mt. Ida College in Boston, as well as guest lecturing at the Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown, MA before founding Search International, a multinational, multi-office executive search and placement company where he remained as Chief Executive Officer for 35 years. He led an extraordinary life.
Following a private interment ceremony, a celebration of his life is to be held for his many friends, colleagues and connections on October 7th, 2023 in North Berwick, Maine. For information on attending his daughter Sarah may be reached at seagar005@gmail.com .
